Clackmannanshire, also affectionately known as the "Wee County" is much bigger than its name. Nestled around the beautiful range of Ochil Hills it is a truly stunning location to visit, live or work. Each town within the county has its own adventure to be had and the largest of those being Alloa. With a near locale to the City of Stirling, Clackmannanshire is the perfect location to take a break from the hustle and bustle and have an adventure in the leafy green towns. With many parks, Dollar Castle, Gatmorn Dam, Alloa and Clackmannan Tower, Hills and Glens there is so much to explore with a real community spirit wherever you venture. As the county's slogan says it is definately "more than you imagine".
In 2008 Alloa train station reopened providing vital transport links to Stirling and Glasgow Queen Street therefore opening up the community to the rest of Scotland and further afield.
